Childhood Math Club National Contest 2016 in honor of Young mathematicians

With many innovations, Childhood Math Club 2016 is the place for students to show mathematical thinking and abilities. The program is also the motivation for the students to improve their English.

After 3 days of celebrating in Hanoi, yesterday 08/06/2016, the Childhood Math Club National Contest for primary & secondary students took place successfully. This is the first year the Childhood Math Club National Contest is organized under the new model conforming to comprehensive innovation program of education, creating opportunities for Vietnamese students to get closer to international math contests. With many innovations, the Childhood Math Club 2016 is the place for students to show mathematical thinking and abilities, the program is also the motivation for the students to improve their English.

There are 43 teams including 23 teams of primary schools and 20 teams of secondary schools with a total of 288 students coming from 24 provinces and cities throughout country participating in this year’s contest. Secondary contestants passed 2 rounds: individual round and team round. In the team round, the contestants also attended Tourism Math contest following Math Relay contest. The individual round is particularly for the primary contestants. Especially, all the Contest’s questions are in English.

Going beyond 20 teams participating in the Childhood Math Club National Contest 2016, Vinh Phuc team, Nam Dinh team and Bac Giang team achieved Gold Cups in the Math Relay Contest and Tourism Math Contest.

The Organization Board awarded Gold Medals to 24 contestants with the best performances in the individual round. In addition to Certificates of merit and gifts of the Sponsor, the students also received Chap canh uoc mo – Dream Wings scholarships of the Hong Ha Stationery Joint Stock Company. During the Opening ceremony, 07 contestants with the best performances in the Online Math Contest 2015-2016 also receive this special scholarship.

Besides, the Organization Board and the Sponsor – Hong Ha Stationery Joint Stock Company awarded 48 Silver Medals, 72 Bronze Medals, 64 Promising prizes in the individual round; 03 Gold Cups, 03 Silver Cups, 02 Bronze Cups in the team round.
