Hong Ha Stationery Factory – the first furniture manufacturing unit in Vietnam was established with 03 production plants: Fountain Pen, Pencil, Groceries and Mechanics, producing over 30 items. After a few years of operation, the factory's production increased 5 times.

In March 1960, Hong Ha Stationery was honored to welcome Uncle Ho to visit. Imbuing with Uncle Ho’s advice “Production must be thrifty”, implementing the slogan “Fast, Many, Good, Cheap”, Hong Ha staffs made efforts to research and develop products, bringing the factory to a leading enterprise of the Ministry of Light Industry.

In August 1964, the US constantly bombarded the North, many Hong Ha staffs volunteered to the battlefield. Overcoming difficulties, the other employees worked with twice productivity. Production activities still maintained regularly to serve the rear, the front line and export to the Soviet Union.

On April 30, 1975, the South was liberated, when facing difficulties of recovery and construction period, Hong Ha employees implemented the slogan “working day is insufficient then working at night”, specialized and rationalized production, ensured the production of enough products to serve the national market.

Kim Anh fountain pen factory was merged with Hong Ha. It was the first time engineers and workers successfully designed and manufactured a 25-ton friction stamping machine, serving the pen nib production line in time.

With the opening of Vietnam’s economy, Hong Ha determined to change the old mindset and bravely invested in research and mass production of new products. For the first time since its establishment, the factory achieved a record production of 5 million fountain pens.

In July 1995, Hong Ha Stationery factory was renamed to Hong Ha Stationery Company, officially joining Vietnam Paper Corporation, expanding the scope of operation under the new mechanism.

With the support of Vietnam Paper Corporation, Hong Ha bravely focused on investing in advanced technology, researching and manufacturing paper products, requisites. This was an important milestone in Hong Ha’s business development strategy.

On December 28, 2005, Hong Ha Stationery was officially equitized with the name Hong Ha Stationery Join Stock Company with a completely new organizational model and production and business activities. The company also relocated the entire factory at 25 Ly Thuong Kiet to a new spacious location at 672 Ngo Gia Tu, Long Bien, Hanoi.

Facing many challenges after equitization, Hong Ha put effort on focusing on investing in advanced technology, researching and developing a variety of high quality products to serve market needs. These efforts of Hong Ha were recognized. In 2006, the company exported 680,000 spring books worth 562,000USD to the US market and achieved 1 million USD, 1.5 million USD in 2007 and 2008, respectively.

50 years in the market, with great efforts and achievements Hong Ha achieved, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishment, Hong Ha Stationery Joint Stock Company was honored to be awarded the First Class Labor Medal.

Hong Ha launched a new, modern, impressive and international logo identity. In particular, the change of new logo was made at the right time of Hong Ha’s 60 years of growth and development.

Hong Ha invested in the new printing paper production line with leading technology in Vietnam, fully automatic packaging production, strict quality control process from the paper batching phase to the packaging phase. Continue to develop a various of smart toys, healthcare arts, non-woven fabric bag, focus on promoting stationery product line. Promote the expansion of the nationwide distribution of system. In November 2020, it was the 5th time in a row (since 2012) that Hong Ha Stationery was honored to be the enterprise whose products achieved the National Brand.
